What is Thai Yoga Therapy?

Combining therapeutic touch, mindful movement, & conscious communication to maximize mobility, clarify consciousness, cultivate compassion, and generate goodwill. This work is performed using passive flowing movements, assisted dynamic and static stretches, and pressure along the body's energy points and meridians.

Purpose:
To improve the health & wellbeing of both receiver/client and giver/practitioner. In other words, it is to make us all feel better!

  • Reduce stress and support the body's natural ability to physically and emotionally balance and heal itself.

  • Improve posture, breathing, flexibility, digestion and circulation.

  • Muscles are stretched, inner organs toned, and emotional and nervous tension is reduced

  • Clients also report deeper sleep, enhanced mental clarity, and feeling less stressed

Daytime, evening, and some weekend sessions are available at down dog yoga mt holly OR in your home or preferred location.

{To book Partner Thai Yoga workshops + Teacher Training modules, and YA approved continuing education classes, please email me at rachael@ontrackyoga.com}

Sessions are done with the client and practitioner comfortably clothed on a special mat on the floor (generally).  Ideally, one session would be no less than 90 minutes and can actually last up to several hours.

The 'receiver' is completely relaxed as the 'giver' mindfully and compassionately performs the work, allowing both to embody a state of meditation.

Although the main emphasis of Thai Yoga Therapy is on disease prevention, it can be of great therapeutic benefit for a range of conditions such as headaches, digestive disorders, muscle and joint pain, back pain, PMS, anxiety, insomnia and more.

what people are saying...

"Rachael was very in tune to my emotional state and knew how to adapt to ensure my experience was relaxing and tranquil. This is the first time I've had the ability to relax and be present in a quiet state of mind since I moved here 6 months ago from NYC."

"...it felt like I was being wrung out like a washcloth or sponge, then being refilled with warmth. Rachael has a very nurturing and caring way that fills the practice."

"It's cool to notice the 'sparks' generated in one part of the body in response to pressures elsewhere, and the feeling of floating at the end of the session."

"I feel really in tune with my body - like I felt things I've never felt before. I am absolutely refreshed and relaxed."

"Immediately I feel looser and more energetic, just more at ease. This is something I could use every week to really relax and release stress."

"Rachael started at my feet and when she applied pressure to certain areas, I could feel my entire body fill with calmness. I felt that my muscles were being exercised, stretched, and pampered all at the same time. When she got to my shoulders and upper back, the pressure she applied literally melted away stress."
